Complex Respiratory and Ventilator Unit

Maple Ridge Care Centre offers a personalized respiratory care plan that  addresses your needs as a sub-acute pulmonary patient who requires advanced clincial support. The program bridges the gap between hospitalization and the return home.

The multi-disciplary staff at Maple Ridge is dedicated to clinical excellence. By efficiently combining respiratory care, nutritional management and diverse therapies we can maximize your individual outcome.

The program goals are to provide pulmonary care and rehabilitiative services when you have complex, but stable, medical and nursing needs. Aggressive weaning is an integral component of our protocol. The results are intended to strengthen your overall health status and maximize your independence and autonomy.

The program approach integrates technological capabilities with the professional support of a team of Pulmonologists, Respiratory Therapists, a Clinical RN Coordinator, attending Primary Care Physicians, respiratory trained nurses, respiratory trained nursing assistants, Rehabilitation Therapists, Social Worker, and Dietician/Nutritionist.

Our clinical team is directed by a board-certified pulmonary specialist, Dr. Jon Mann, from the Springfield Clinic. Respiratory therapists are responsible for the ventilator management and general care of your tracheostomy and airway on a 24 hour basis. You are assigned a primary care physician who oversees all other medically complex issues.
